ACHEMA 2009 in Frankfurt was once more a very successful event for us. We warmly thank our visitors and customers for the good technical discussions and for their trust.

At FRINGS, for the sectors of biological and chemical technology, the exhibition focused on the following head notes:

• process intensification through energy-saving mixing and separation systems
• technologies and systems for the management of water / waste water in production plants
• custom-made fermentation plants both in pilot and production scale for industrial biotechnology

In view of rising energy, water, and disposal prices, the interest in FRINGS technology that manifested itself at the exhibition is well-founded.

For these sectors, FRINGS opts for intelligent plant-specific integration of standardized units of self-developed and in-house produced reactor units, aeration stirrers (fig. 1), foam centrifuges and membrane filter units.

Besides equipment supplies and assemblies / start-ups, FRINGS also offers engineering, product and feasibility studies.

From the ACHEMA contacts, several interesting projects have arisen whose feasibility is now being experimentally assessed in FRINGS's in-house laboratory and pilot plant station.

At ACHEMA, FRINGS also presented its newly developed PROREACT product series featuring a fully integrated cleaning and sterilization system as well as an embedded product purification by means of micro filtration.

These fermentation plants are manufactured by FRINGS at customers' request, especially for the growth sectors "Food Ingredients" and "White Biotech".

They span the range from laboratory scale (fig. 2) to large scale with several hundred thousand liters.
