ALKOMAT (infrared spectrometer)
The FRINGS alcohol analyzer, ALKOMAT, is designed for quick and exact alcohol analysis in acetic solutions (vinegar, mash). The measuring range is between 0-20 % ethanol. The ALKOMAT obtains highly reproducible results with an accuracy of ± 0.05 v/v for 0.3 – 3.0 % alcohol.
The ALKOMAT stands out as a device for particularly exact and quick alcohol measurement, enabling its user to do without time-consuming wet analysis processes, such as neutralization, distillation and density determination.
The ALKOMAT is pre-configured by the manufacturer with settings for the analysis of 6 different kinds of vinegar. Moreover, this instrument allows the user to adjust 4 additional customer-specific vinegars.

Vapodest
Frings Vapodest allows the quick distillation of alcohol in acetic solutions. Thanks to its integrated NaOH dosing system for sample neutralization, the Frings Vapodest has a clear advantage compared to the conventional distillation method. For the subsequent alcohol analysis, the Frings Thermo-Alcoholmeter is used.

Distillation device
For the conventional distillation method, a combination of instruments is used to analyze alcohol concentrations of up to 18%. The order of process steps is as follows: Dosage, neutralization, distillation and analysis (by means of the Frings Thermo-Alcoholmeter)
