For over six decades, FRINGS has been producing nutrients necessary for the production of all kinds of vinegar in generators and in Acetators, our submersible fermenters. Our high-quality products are especially developed for the nutrition of acetic acid bacteria and are the result of many years’ experience in the production of nutrients.

FRINGS nutrients meet world-wide safety requirements and quality standards
Permanent, intensive biotechnical and physical-chemical controls ensure the constant and perfect quality of our nutrients. Careful selection of raw materials and ongoing R&D activities have enabled us to develop nutrient mixes that are free from genetically modified organisms. Appropriate certificates are available on request.
Our nutrients also meet the strict Kosher requirements and can be certified accordingly if required by the customer. FRINGS also offers a nutrient mix with the certificate Kosher for Passover.
Our product offerings include:
The fully balanced nutrient recipes Acetozym DSplus and DSplus2, as well as Acetozym DS/GZ for the production of low-extract vinegars, in particular alcohol vinegar.
Nutritive salt for increased fermentation yield, to be used for the production of high-extract vinegars, e.g. wine vinegar, cider vinegar or multiple fruit vinegars.

FRINGS nutrients allow enhanced production processes:
Very low nutrient concentrations needed (depending on the process and raw material used)
Nearly full solubility in vinegar and mash
Color-neutral substance mix (vinegars not discolored by nutrients)
High solubility leads to better filterability
Low foam formation during fermentation
Higher fermentation stability
High productivity even under unfavorable fermentation conditions
Production of high-acidity alcohol vinegar (test have shown that FRINGS nutrients are suitable for the production of vinegar with more than 20 % acidity)
If stored properly, long storage life (about 12 months) without significant loss of quality
