Four owners/managing directors created the reputation of FRINGS between 1878 and 1984. It all started with the entrepreneur who invested money in a technology that was still in its infancy stage. He built a successful company and financed his son who was both an inventor and a clever businessman. He was the innovator of vinegar technology as well as shrewd enough to sell the license to a process patent to a US company in 1936. The third owner had the difficult task to manage FRINGS successfully during the Second World War. Dr. Els rebuilt the company after the war, employing specialists in other areas of work. He financed research, development and an expansion of FRINGS; both in traditional and new fields. When Dr. Els died, he left behind a family business where innovation was lived day in and day out. Present management and all employees are rooted in this tradition. Together they expand the activities, develop solutions to customer problems, work according to the quality management system ISO 9000/2000 and other manufacturing standards, as well as accept the characteristics of other cultures and face global competition. Lifelong learning, continuing education, and the use of modern information technology are integral parts of company philosophy. |
